FACT SHEET

Donor & Endowment:
The North Coast Cleveland Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association began its scholarship program with a $10,000 contribution to the West Virginia University Foundation, Inc. to establish an endowed scholarship fund to be named the “North Coast Cleveland WVU Alumni Endowed Scholarship.”

Selection Criteria:
The endowment will provide undergraduate scholarships for students attending West Virginia University living in the area served by the Chapter. Consideration shall be given to students that have demonstrated academic promise by achieving a GPA of 3.0 and family/financial need. Preference shall be given to students from the northeast Ohio counties of Cuyahoga, Summit, Portage, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina. A student who is a recipient in one year is eligible for consideration in any succeeding year.

Selection Procedure:
The West Virginia University Financial Aid office will determine the scholarship recipient(s), with input from North Coast Cleveland Chapter leadership. Scholarships shall be awarded in the name of the North Coast Cleveland Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association.
